![]() But again, expensive product should work and have all the parts I paid for when I receive it.īut sadly Im still on the fence with shooting it since it seems a little off with a guide rod. Couldn't get it to line up correctly with the old shims I had since DeadAir forgot to put a shim kit in my suppressor box.īut to give them some credit they sent me three sets of shims within the week. If you company is awesome, Ill never have to deal with your customer service. I so tire of fanboys on Arfcom who brag about customer service being awesome. Gun store told me all my muzzle devices are bad since their mounts did not fit the two muzzle devices I brought with me. I have a drawer full of keymo and micro mounts. Granted I own more Dead Air then any of those. I also own SilencerCo, Rugged, OSS and gemtech products. However I keep having all these problems. I truly believe you guys make the best product out there when it works as advertised. Trust me I really like you and all the boys in Kamas. So there is a bigger problem at hand then just my one bad mount. Then I found out their mounts would not work ether. I went down to the gun store to just buy another one since they got a new shipment in and was planing on dealing with all this Monday. Was really looking forward to trying this new can out with the keymo. Also going to a Christmas suppressor shoot this Saturday. I waited months to finally order one of these. When our CS guys get you the shipping label, be sure to tell them to note this one for my inspection when it comes in. Our manufacturing is now running on all eight cylinders.Īnd as I look into your post more, are you saying the lugs are too wide to fit down the slot on the brake? It's a close fitup but it's still comfortably designed for an easy clearance fit. Ramp-up is hard with a new manufacturing partner, especially in a crazy year like this, but there's zero excuse for a part to be made incorrectly that we've been making for this many years. I don’t want others to have to go though what I am.īelieve me, I'm mad too. I’ve spent hours trying to figure out a solution. So what’s the deal with the two at the store that don’t work as well? Bad batch? I’m so frustrated and kinda mad. Thread timing is important on these and this first batch is also a first batch with our new vendor. You know we wouldn't design something that is not backward compatible with our original brake and our Quality side can figure this out faster than the hive mind here. If I had to guess, it's was machined incorrectly. Please get with our CS guys and we'll get this figured out. So total of six brakes it will not fit on so far. I took ones off from my other keymo mounts and then it worked. I tired even more of my mounts and they don’t work on a brake with the shoulder too. Well it looks like that theory is bust too. Here is all my keymo mounts that work on everything. Older style ones with the little flair at the top will work with all mounts. ![]() ![]() Old brake without the wrench flat on the back Old mount will work with old and new stuff. They are cool people and I have met them before but holly hell do they have QC issues. This is like the fifth time I’ve had problems with Dead Air products. They will NOT work on the older brakes without this. We started playing around and they will fit on the newer brakes that have the wrench spot on the back. None of their mounts would fit on my brakes ether. Thinking I got a lemon mount I went down to my gun store that has more mounts in stock. The other six keymo mounts I own work fine on all muzzel devices. Will not fit on any of the 4 brakes I own. So I got the newer designed keymo mount from dead air yesterday. ![]()
